But when ever you get government management involved ..it may come back to bite you in the rear end. You will get it a high costs and be regulated in ways you do not have now. They gave us tobacco then they turn around and attack smokers... They give you entertainment gone wild...then turn around and attack you for it. They busted up the bootlegging and made more controlled taxed regulated drinks.. Yet this to may see its day of being attacked..it is already in other places. No one should do drugs while driving or working their jobs or tending their kids.. It influences the brain out of its normal way it would be if not high on pot.. It can make people to laid back actually laid back to the point they are slow responding...almost lazy like want even sit up straight leaning on the walls instead of standing straight. Giggly and goofing off attitude wanting to monkey around ....behaving sexually excited. They should not work like that. |

And when they get caught, they pay the consequences, just like anyone would driving high. (on a side note, I can find at least 3 studies that conclude that high drivers are safer than even sober drivers.) Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song? |
| Cult of Personality User ID: 24433009 11/19/2012 11:27 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if they do this, they get charged the same as anyone driving drunk. Not something you want to do a lot, very expensive at least in my state, and more than one... you're in a heap of hassle then. I'll say this again. Everyone who supports marijuana being illegal, should also support alcohol being illegal. What would happen if society would not have it's outlets to loosen up after a hard week busting one's ass at work. Are people expected to stay stone cold sober for life because of someone else's moral values? There is no doubt some people, in fact dare I say a lot of people, drink what I would consider excessively. That's their right. Punish them when they harm others, don't make nanny state 'preventive' laws just in case they might do something. Last Edited by Cult of Personality on 11/19/2012 11:29 PM |

If you do not want to smoke pot then dont do it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25192764 Well yeah. Also: if you don't want an abortion don't get one, if you don't like guns don't buy one, if you're against gay marriage don't marry a member of the same sex, etc., etc., etc. Unfortunately, people just can't seem to mind their own god-damned business. What will our society be like when there are no laws holding the insanity at bay. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2849260 To be fair, alot of those messed up minds have LEGAL medications to thank for that, all the anti-weed people are bitching about the wrong drug pushers. an extremely important point. opiates meth and crack cocaine, along with accursed fiat money. are messing up hearts and minds. all common prescription drugs, opiates being the real devil and original cause for the idiotic "war on drugs". well, money is the cause, to be honest. or the lack of money to be precise. the evil side of treason. |

How many car crashes involve marijuana intoxication vs Alcohol intoxication? when you are high, you are impaired. your reaction time is way slower. now imagine 10000000x more people on the road driving while high. if its true there are more people driving high than drunk people..... it would be crazy to legalize pot. the fact there are more people high on the road when pot is ILLEGAL means there will be a lottttt more pot drivers on the road when it becomes legal. ..why don't you take a seat over there |

If anything should be banned, it should be banning stuff or telling people what to do, because we all know how that works.... On top of that, if ANYTHING would be banned. Guns, drugs, toxins, poisons, chemicals, alcohol, addicting flavorings, cancer causing substances, legal highs, etc etc. POT. POT!? Which possibly cures cancer, obviously helps with almost all illness, and has zero to harmful negative effects? Are you kidding me? Here's the deal from Haides. If you can't see the situation. You're brainwashed. |

Quoting: Mycelium In Colorado you can grow your own marijuana and your own tobacco. You don't have to be a hippie either. Who says pot has to be regulated like tobacco? Colorado is a good example of what I am talking about. Here is an interview on NPR's Fresh Air from this past week. Sorry, I am on mobile, so maybe someone more savvy than myself could translate this m. site to the www. URL for me... [link to m.npr.org] In CO, if you want to sell, a certain perentage must be grown by you (50%, as I recall). You must also pay for inspections as well as a sever thousand dollar license. Most small-time growers, as well as many retail stores (like mom 'n' pop, but really their adult kids, lol), cannot get all the paperwork and fees. Apparently, in some cases, a shopping cart is required. Also, no deductions may be taken on Fed taxes, aside from the costs associated with the actual fam operation. This is a big deal for a small business. God knows what Obamacare will do to it (something I ordinarily stand behind, but not the point). The guy interviewed had some very interesting things to say about the tobacco industry. He said that big tobacco has had contingency plans for Nat'l legalization in place for at least the last twenty years. It is, in this use, anyway, a vice industry, undeniably. These industries thrive on addiction and dependence. Yes, I know pot is not addictive, but what sort of additives will we be seing (or not seeing)? Also, like an above poster stated, what will happen once Monsanto gets into the mix? It's gonna be a disaster, that's what'll happen! It will certainly not be any fun. We certainly won't be getting buds that have had Mozart played their entire lives... Once the stockholders get their way, what will their way be? I hope I am wrong about this. I hope it stays much the same, but with less anxiety. At any rate, these things bear thinking about. |

Have a think about that.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28117522 I don't think it's that simple. I don't really buy the whole "Marijuana is natural, ergo it should be legal" argument. Not saying there aren't any good arguments for legalization, but that's not one of them. I had no choice in being born. Luckily it was here on Earth. In my travels, nothing has made life more livable than Earths beautiful, natural, herbal, sensational, soothing, green, smelly, sticky plant, marijuana. Goodnight.
