I remember when any 40 hour a week job, no matter how menial, bought a single person their own decent, modest digs, providing money for food, running a vehicle, with money left over... without the need for roommates.

That was because the Union wages translated across the society to provide that.

Reagan came in and gutted the unions. They crawled into bed with corporagov for survival and it has been a continually bad saga of destruction of the middle class and downsizing of quality of life ever since.

I'm amazed at how many have accepted their brainwashing, espousing philosophies that work against their own best interests.

Case in point.... Twinkies.
