It appears faster because the video is zoomed in.
Quoting: Weasel_Turbine Why? Anyway there are many people who reported that recently. Quoting: DUCM900 Why? You don't understand the concept that if you zoom in and have far less of a field of view that the object will move across that field of view quicker? As for those reporting it, NONE have reported it that acutally know how the Moon moves and can measure it. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't true. Quoting: Weasel_Turbine Quoting: DUCM900 Thank you for proving you don't understand it with such a well thought out response! I'm sure that took a lot out of you. to expand on how zooming affects the apparent speed with some very light algebra: If the speed of the object allows it to cross y degrees per minute and the unzoomed field of view is 50y then it would take 50 minutes to cross. Now when zoomed that field of view is 10y. How long will it take to cross that smaller field of view and how much faster will it appear?
