what was the best book you ever read?
i don't care when or where it came from, what was just the most mind blowing work of literature ever in your opinion?

i have not read much books in my life but one book i thoroughly enjoyed reading was, "what dreams may come".

it's about a loving family, but tragedy strikes and the father dies in a car accident, but fortunately goes to heaven. the widow however, is left to raise two kids by her self and she hates this world, thinks of suicide, and she does, then she goes straight to hell.

the husband hears of this news in heaven and decides to ditch heaven and go to hell with her.

it was one of the more moving stories i ever encountered.

Re: what was the best book you ever read?
through the years, off the top of my head:

trixie belden series
carrie
flowers in the attic
endless love
it
strangers
american psycho
invisible darkness: the strange case of karla homolka and paul bernardo
american gods
fear the worst
*the stand

as you can see, i'm not really one for the classics. i like thrillers for the most part - creepy and weird and unexplained and of course serial killers. i have always read a lot of books, i mean a lot, so most of them just all blur together honestly.

*if i had to pick just one i guess

Watership Down for me too.

Just a childrens novel about the survival voyage of a group ofrabbits. But really, I can't even pin point it, but theres something about that story that relates so well to the human condition. I'll never forget those bunnies.

"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address

Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests:

"Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world."

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein

Re: what was the best book you ever read?
The Bible, it is the most important Book of all!! It is a real account of the true history of mankind!

Thankyou GOD for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ The Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, who was sent to us to bring forgiveness of sins and salvation for all who believe in HIM, me put my faith and hope and trust in HIM and not the almighty dollar.

And GOD is not a bank.

Jesus Christ is GODS Only Begotton Son!!!!
There are no others that are ABOVE GOD.

I praise the GOD of Heaven and earth and Love GOD and JESUS.

Thankyou, Amen.
Where ever HE goes me will follow, The Lord is my Shepard I shall not want. hf
