I think it's true. The love of my life passed away earlier this year. As painful as it was, I'm glad for the time I spent with her. If I never would of met her sure I wouldn't of gone threw the heartache, but I learned so much from her and got to experience true love. It's to the point where I'm 27 and I have no interest in being with anyone else for the rest of my life. It's hard to compare anyone with her.

I've been to the abyss of psychotic depression where you lose the ability to feel anything. After you spend a while there, breaking your knuckles against the wall just to feel something starts to sound like a good idea. Merely existing in a place where empty minutes stretch to years is pure hell. Now I cherish everything that I can feel, including the pain of rejection, failure and loss.

I do not agree. While losing a 'love' does quite suck. You never lose all the amazing moments shared while in the experience. One really doesn't want to miss out on all that, I wouldn't think..

I believe from my uneducated point of view that it is for us to cherish our memories, for they are the true treasure.

It is wise to focus on the positive, it is better to have had it even if just for a minute, that memory will empower you, not the loss of it to have had it, if you have it in you to be positive about life that is.
