Did you notice the shopping and spending frenzy that took place today. Such things do not go in other countries, not even other Christian ones where everyone celebrates Christmas. No, only we in the states still have money to waste on every bit of crap the stores are selling - most of which no one actually needs but have been told they must have or risk not being cool enough to know or being accused of depriving their already over-indulged kids. We are also blessed in that almost everyone had more than enough to eat yesterday, something that cannot be said in so many countries. Let us be thankful for all that we have here and let us at least try to keep those in DC from destroying it all with their crazy spending and controls they want on our lives, our health care, and soon to come.....our retirement funds. |
