I recognize degrees of shade in colors, and this was darker and it "whooshed" across my path. Spooked me. Anyone else with this experience?

One day, saw what i thought was the shadow of a bush, about 3', but then saw it morph to human size and shape. Another day, saw one step into the shadow of a building. Another day, saw one walk past me, but nothing there when i looked.
