Walmart should shut down

They are working at Wal-Mart because they aren't qualified to do anything else...a monkey could do their job...let them walk off, and Wal-Mart will just hire more minimum wage monkeys to replace them.

I think I get a good value for my money at Walmart. I like Walmart. If the employees are not happy working there they should find another job-its really that simple.

Not really, the quality of their products is inferior...

i wish that all stores would close on black Friday to sink our sorry state economy even further into the abyss and maybe bring about changes sooner.

Walmart workers are planning to strike at 1,000 stores nationwide on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year.

And the campaign has gathered considerable support online -- with over $50,000 raised for striking workers and support from groups ranging from MoveOn.org to the National Organization of Women to various Latino, African American and interfaith groups.

"I think the plight of the Walmart workers has turned into a social movement of itself," Patrick O'Neill, executive vice president of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) union, said on HuffPost Live Tuesday. In the last 10 to 15 years, he said, "with workers going backwards and the top one percent getting fatter and fatter, workers -- whether work at Walmart or not -- they can relate to Walmart workers."

I'm sick and tired of the WALMART bashing. My wife has worked there for 10 years in the jewelry dept. She makes...are you ready for this. 14.88 an hour .We aren't rich for sure but it ain't slave wages by any means. Her benefits are pretty damn good as well .She has 3 weeks paid vacation and they have the most liberal call in sick policy of anyone.So, for people WILLING to work , WALMART ain't bad.

I work there too. Its not bad at all. Ive been there 2 years in a couple weeks and just got a raise to 10/hr. you can change your availability to whenever you want, you get quarterly bonuses, paid vacation and paid personal time. opportunites for advancement, job security, Im not rich, but I make an honest living and pay my bills, I have no complaints.

Another Walmart store has called the police on their own employees, this time in Louisiana.

People are being bussed in to make the walkouts look more then they are. They stay at each Walmart for as long as the cameras are there, then they pack them up and move to another walmart.

I think the Unions have a big fail in this.
