Quoting: LonghairKing It wasn't investment. Investment is savings by private individuals or groups who risk their own capital. This was tax money stolen from American taxpayers and given to Obama's campaign contributors and other cronies. How old are you? 12? Holy shit! Your whole thread history has been tampered with, is this mods doing this or what? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28008747 United States 11/20/2012 04:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to epaabuse.com] Quoting: Carshy McCarsh A pair of foreign-owned solar companies that benefited from a combined $84 million in Energy Department tax credits have announced they will lay off employees. One of the companies, German-owned SolarWorld, was integral in the fight for tariffs against the importation of Chinese photovoltaic solar panels. The other, Chinese company SunTech, blamed those tariffs for its own layoffs. Of course they'll both look for something to blame. So they blame each other. Likely it's general market conditions for solar. I just declined to put solar on my roof. After all rebates it would have cost about $8000 for a 20 year lease in which the company would do all required maintenance, and it would have saved me half or more of my electric bill. I have a good roof and good conditions. If consumers like me still find it uneconomic, it's not a good deal at current prices. If I am still not buying, there's not that much of a market there, beyond people who are willing to spend more to "go green" or "be opinion leaders". |

Wow, some of you should get a grip on reality. Quoting: LonghairKing Everyone is hurting in this economy. I don`t hear any complaining about the billions given to oil and gas co`s. Cite the "billions given to oil and gas co's", because we have no idea what you're blabbering about, and you're in danger of appearing really stupid. 1. Big oil has been getting sweet tax breaks for decades. Where are you from? 2. What recovery? 3. It`s Obama`s fault! lol |

And explain how tax breaks are "handouts", and how oil differs from any other business in terms of deductions. 2. What? 3. Yes, it is, retard. Tell me what this tastes like... |

Quoting: Lady Jane Smith Liberals = very poor business decisions & launder money through your friends Well said! This is what happens when a community organizer thinks he knows whats best for the biggest economy in the world... The success of the organizing in the Chicago community speaks loud and clear for itself. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28110666 Let's remove the inclusion of calling the shovelling of government taxpayer stimulus money into failing union pension funds as a "success". Where I come from, its called corruption, and you go to jail when caught doing it. After this is removed from the base, there's nothing but Solyndras, and green government corruption scams directing taxpayer money at Obama's election bundlers. |
