What is a "splitter" bomb? You mean a HellFire Missle? There is a MAC round that separates into several smaller projectiles about 40 Meters or so before impact and appears to "rain" down upon the target. It is a semi-laser guided missle operated by several countries, including Isreal and several other middle easter countries. There are other missles that "split", but there has not been a "splitter-bomb" for a hundred or more years, and they were not technologically advanced by todays terms, being fired from a cannon.

Here is what I have seen in "another part of the world". One side will step up attacks immediately prior to a scheduled sit down at the peace table. This strengthens their position (so they think) in keeping the reason for pressing for peace fresh in mind. And they want to appear strong not weak and pacifist.

Guess that means we'll be calling up 700K reservists to do their dirty work for them.
