It wasn't 50 floors. It was more like 30. And yes that structure could have held up against it for the most part. But to fall with no resistance? DURRRRR!

I have seen a video of a building being demo'd, and it stopped halfway through because the explosives on ONE FLOOR didn't go off. That one floor was enough to stop all the above weight finishing the job, and this was just some old office building not build to be tougher than hell like a huge sky scraper needs to be.

And also, WTC7? Again, falling at insane speed with no resistance, yet there was no hole knocked out by a plane at all on this one.
