Good versus Evil in everyday people

I have a theory:

Most people are good, by default, because they lack the intelligence, time, money and influence to do any real harm or evil in the world.

The reason that money and power corrupt is because people are already corrupt but with no way to act out.

Power and money simply remove the notion of consequences and people are free to be who they truly are.

So while we see our peers John, James Joanna and Jenny as "Good" we have very little to go on because circumstances force them to conform, stay in line, and make their living. They will scratch your back from time to time because, from time to time, they will need their back scratched.

You might know them your entire life until they die, and you will Eulogize them with teary eyes and a saddened heart as being "one of the great ones..." yet, if they had ever had the opportunity, power and finances, they would've personally pushed you into a trench and put a bullet through your head if it benefitted them.

Therefore, the only TRULY Good people are those who freely admit they are Evil, but CHOOSE to do good anyway, even when it hurts their station or agenda.

It is an act of creation...the generation of "GOOD" rather than the stagnant default of appearing good due to the status quo.
