As an OLD-FASHIONED CATHOLIC (I reject Vatican II and all the Pope since WWII), these statements by Benedict/Ratzinger prove to me he does not have a clue about what the Bible says.

Revelation 19:10
"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: FOR THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY." (KJV)

Ratzinger also doesn't have a clue about the prophecies of the saints regarding the end of the world, including St. Francis of Assisi. I have an old book published in 1890, and St. Francis (13th century) literally discusses the end of the world, as well as FALSE POPES in the end times.
