i just cant GAIN weight!!! | |
| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 2785258 11/20/2012 06:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Listen to me, everything I'm about to tell you is the truth, and you CAN and WILL gain a healthy ratio of muscle/fat following this, regardless of what you think you may or may not be "able" to do. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24492462 I was 225lbs in high school, but fat, not muscular. I joined the army, and i ended up at 160lbs(im 6 ft). When I came out of the army, I started weight lifting, and met this trainer who was 260lbs with 8% body fat. He looked just like ronnie coleman, or any other professional bodybuilder as far as the average joe is concerned. I shadowed him in the gym for a while, and I've been hooked ever since. I gained 100 lbs in 1 year, from 160 to 260, then continued on to 300. Now at 300lbs I had 20 % body fat, sure, but I didn't mind. i felt strong, fast, just so fast and explosive that you wouldn't believe your eyes when a 300lb guy outsprints your 150lb guys. From being a nobody in high school, now in college I was the big guy. The feeling of walking into a room and the energy people give off to you is unbelievable. either a) they want to be your friend, or b) they want to challenge you because subconsciously you make them feel inferior. Now with all that being said, here is how you do it. First figure out your BMR. There are plenty of calculators online, and with that you will figure out how many calories you need daily to maintain your current weight. Then it's just a matter of adding to that and staying above it everyday. Now if you don't weight train forget about gaining "respectable" weight. You'll just get fat. So as an example, I weigh 265lbs right now. I need 3700 calories a day just to maintain my weight. Once you have your daily calories, you divide them 40/40/20. Now what that means is out of 3700 calories, 40 % are protein, 40% are carbs, 20% are fats. 1 gram of fat is 9 calories. 1 gram of protein and 1 gram of carbs are both 4 calories each. if you read this far, please please, follow my advice. I train people for money everyday, and have changed some friends physiques in record time. I will give you two cases that are similar to yours. guy A and guy B. guy A has been 130lbs and under his entire life, he is 23. He has never ever been above that weight, no matter how " hard" hes tried. guy A after 10 weeks of training with me just 4x a week, and following the prescribed diet to a t, was sitting at 165lbs. His vascularity increased, his body fat DECREASED, and his abs actually became larger and more defined. this is just 10 weeks. In the grand scheme of things 10 weeks is the blink of an eye. guy B has never been above 140lbs in his life, and does heavy martial arts training. He told me his fantasy was to be 180lbs, and if one day he could achieve such a thing he would be ecstatic beyond belief. after 3 and a half months of training with me he was 185. He gained 45 pounds. he was grossly lean before he started, but at 185lbs his 6 pack still showed and was even thicker and stronger than it was at 140. He ran faster and longer, his cardio was better and all of this translated into him being a much more powerful and dominant martial artist. So now I have given you my own story, as well as the story of 2 personal friends. You have a choice. Will you change your life today? Or will tab out of this and dismiss it? It won't be easy. But nothing worth having is. BUt it wont be HARD either. transforming your body requires two things. First the knowledge on what moves to make, and I have given this to you. Second the determination/discipline to stick to the prescription. If you combine these 2 things, you will be a new person, and your family wouldn't even recognize you. TLDR, if you weight 115lbs do this eat 200 grams of protein a day eat 300 grams of carbs a day eat 125 grams of fat a day buy a carb shake like universal real gains, or any other carb shake. 1 of my shakes gives me 55g protein 85g carbs 8g fat. this is like 650 calories in 1 shake. I have 3 of these daily, and then 3 meals with the same macros(55 protein 80ish carbs 8 fat). MILK is natures carb shake. 8g protein 8g fat 11g carbs. whole milk is even better. Also whole eggs, never discard yolk. as far as training goes follow this strictly until you reach 175lbs. chest/triceps back/biceps off legs/calves shoulders/arms off chest - 4 sets flat dumbbell press, 6 8 10 12 reps 4 sets incline dumbbell press, 6 8 10 12 reps 4 sets cable flys, 8,10,12,15 reps 4 sets dips(if you cant dip use the dip machine) 6 8 10 12 2 sets strict cable tricep pushdowns 10 15 reps every 3rd week replace the dumbbells with flat/incline bench. back- 6 sets cable pulldowns, 6 8 8 10 12 12 3 sets wide grip, 3 sets normal shoulder width. your palms should face away 3 sets bent over dumbbell rows 8 10 12 reps 3 sets seated cable rows 8 10 12 reps 2 sets shrugs 8 12 reps 3 sets deadlifts 5 8 10 reps you can throw in a set or 2 of bicep curls if you have anything left in the, but this should indirectly fry them already legs- 6 sets back squats 6 8 10 12 3 sets leg press 6 10 12 3 sets lunges 12 each side 3 sets RLD/SLDL 6 8 10 shoulders- 5 sets dumbbell press(seated) 6 8 10 12 12 3 sets side raises 8 10 12 3 sets reverse flys 8 10 12 2 sets front raises 4 sets bicep curls 4 sets skullcrushers as far as how to PROPERLY execute these exercises, I have given you the names, and since you obviously have internet you must google/youtube all of these exercises, and do them PROPERLY, stressing FORM 100% of the time. Forget about the weight until you have the FORM. TLDDR if you follow what I've said you will gain weight. if you make excuses for why you cant do this or that then you won't. I transformed two friends who laughed at me when i told them they would be the person they always wanted to be if they listened to me. these guys are the definition of " hard gainers ". THey didnt believe the possibility of getting big. but they did, and in record time. I went from 160-260 in 11 months, my bench went from 135 to 365, my squat from 150 to 400, my deadlift from 150 to 500. one year, no drugs, just shakes, food, and multivitamins/fish oil/amino acids. It's always obvious which clients of mine dont succeed because they spend all day thinking of lies to tell me when I ask them how they ate. Almost all of my clients are men trying to gain weight, and the ones who do whats prescribed always succeed. The ones who complain about why they cant deadlift, or why they cant eat 3 shakes and 3 meals a day are the ones who never really wanted it in the firs tplace. They wanted to be "buff" but they didn't want to do what it takes. I know this is long, but nobody else responded to you, and this is something I'm passionate about, and it would make me very happy if you used any of this information to better yourself. now for a quick disclaimer, I am not a doctor, or any kind of medical professional. This information is just my 2 cents, and its up to you what you do with it. always consult a physician before starting any diet/exercise regiment. I cannot and will not be held liable for you injuring yourself in one way or another. wow this is great! i have printed it out and will post it on my wall |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 24492462 11/20/2012 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | wow this is great! i have printed it out and will post it on my wall I'm very glad! Knowledge is easy to come by, but discipline is something one must build on their own! Also I said this in my post, but I'll reiterate and stress the importance of milk. It becomes difficult to get 6 meals in daily. thats why we have 3 liquid carb shakes, which are light on the stomach, and go down in a minute easily. The other 3 meals you have to have real food, and milk allows you to have more liquid food. you could have 3 8oz cups of milk(24 protein 24 fat 33 carbs) twice a day between meals. So let me tell you what I do, and you could do the same but just scale down your values. I wake up have a carb shake, 55p 85carb, 8 fat. The importance of this is that whey is a fast acting protein, and when weaking up your body has been fasting for as many hours as youve been asleep, and you want to get some very fast acting protein in to quickly feed your hungry muscles. 2 hours later I'll have a solid meal, something like 1 cup of lentils(dry 1 cup, not cooked 1 cup). I get 55g protein 120g carbs from this. after its finished cooking it throw it in the blender, and it fills exactly 1 shaker cup with this liquid, and i drink it. Besides hitting my macros, lentils are incredibly good for you, and there are many on this board even that will vouch for that. then i wait 3.5 hours. so so far I have gotten all my nutrition in, but Im STARVING rather than bloated and full, because all my meals have been liquid, and super easily digestable. so now I have a nice 8 oz serving of meat, or a combination of meats/fish, in conjunction with about 100g worth of carbs from rice or potatoes etc. then a couple hours later i hit the gym, then I have another carb shake afterwards(the same as morning). Then I have another meal, this one is usually something low in fat and high in protein, something like beef jerky or tuna. then before bed I have another carb shake. shadow me with this, but lower your values by about 15%. If you want to gain the way I did, 100 lbs in 1 year or less, then follow my values exactly. I believe in eating for the weight you want to be. so if you want to be 200lbs, eat like a 200lb man. I gained 60lbs of muscle, 40 lbs of fat at the end of the year, but nobody would even look at me and think the word fat. It stacked very nicely. But fat is VERY easy to lose, which is why I don't train anybody who wants to lose weight. Basically I believe in you man. I know you can do it, I know you've got what it takes. YOu are the master of your own fucking domain. You are your own God, and with your will it shall be done. Just have the will, take the hits, go through the suck, and you will be the guy writing this post to somebody else one day, telling them that they can do it. |

I read somewhere that it affects the kidneys.. But anyway THANKS |
