Yes, he resides in underworld. Murder can not be atoned for and must be paid for a time. He will get redeemed after Millenium. Not all bible is as it once was the adversary has altered it interpetations and also added his own parts.

If King David, whom was known as a friend of God and a prophet, is not in heaven, then what hopes are there for me. Is King David's name written in the Book of Life, but just not there yet, due to the attonement he needed for committing murder. I truly beleive that my name is written in the Book of Life. Is it? I can Testify that Your name is in the Book...........
