Hamas was elected because the Arafat party had become corrupt (check out how much his widow ended up with) Hamas was the equal to the Red Cross before politics came along and their mandate was to never give up the fight to be independent Nation and that alone would give them the right to get Israel into the ICC court system, actually it should be the 33 nations that voted to take their land would be the ones in court and that would resend UN 181 or at the very least ally many Arabs back into Israel where a democratic vote would see the Jews become a back bench part with just a few seats. Those two options are bloodless and withing the scope of a modern law abiding society, stopping that from being able to take place involves many crimes on the Israeli side.
