Im trying to grasp as to why god would limit our years on earth, only to give us everlasting life later on, it doesnt make sense.

Our years are limited because God gave us the opportunity to experience life. As you know, part of living is dying. For us to experience life, think of microbes in a puddle of water, and the water was spilled onto the ground. The edge of the water continues to move over the floor. The edge of the water contains microbes which experience this as the water moves. They are literally on the cutting edge between the water, and the floor.

Similarly, we as living beings, made in God's image, are experiencing life - not only that, we are at the cutting edge, which means we can make instant decisions or changes as we go. We have free choice to experience life how we want.

But we must not lose sense of who we are - if we get too used to too many 'things' we begin to think thats all there is, and our lifes become empty even though you may have a nice house or car.

So now, like a butterfly and a silk worm, the silk worm doesn't die and have their life cut short, instead they transcend, and in our case, we have the gift from the Father, by way of Jesus Christ.
