Come see live video of the moon! 11-20-12 *Thanks for coming!*
I was going to do this on Saturday night, but the weather conspired against me. Here's the link to the stream, I'm just about to start broadcasting the moon. In the meantime you can see what the telescope and moon look like from a standard camcorder:

I'm using a polar aligned telescope, specifically an 8" Meade LX200 classic (pre-GPS). It automatically tracks with the rotation of the earth. The moon doesn't quite move at the sidereal rate because of its orbital motion around the earth, but it's close enough that it's fairly steady.

The view at the start was from a camcorder on a standard camera tripod though, then I showed a view through the widefield Orion refactor riding piggyback on the LX200, now I'm showing through the LX200 itself.

 Quoting: Ima Pseudonym

I can digitally zoom it in closer if you like, but to optically zoom in closer would require a complete reconfig that would effectively take my widefield camera offline.

Zoom in on the Apollo landing sites. Let's see of there's a moon buggy there or if NASA lied!

What is that in the middle of the crater top center? Damn the camera just moved, but there's another one to the left , lower half. Most of the craters are empty, but those two have something in the center of them.

I'm afraid neither this telescope nor any other telescope on earth has the angular resolution necessary to resolve any of the apollo hardware. Not even hubble. Every pixel you see here represents about 1 mile on the moon. That's about as good as I can resolve it. Hubble can resolve closer to football field sized objects, which is still far bigger than any apollo hardware. Only the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter can directly resolve the Apollo hardware, and it has.
