Let's see of there's a moon buggy there or if NASA lied! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14093935 I'm afraid neither this telescope nor any other telescope on earth has the angular resolution necessary to resolve any of the apollo hardware. Not even hubble. Every pixel you see here represents about 1 mile on the moon. That's about as good as I can resolve it. Hubble can resolve closer to football field sized objects, which is still far bigger than any apollo hardware. Only the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter can directly resolve the Apollo hardware, and it has. oh it has?? where are the pics bro?? |

"Fiery the Angels rose, & as they rose deep thunder roll'd Around their shores: indignant burning with the fires of Orc" - William Blake, America a Prophecy (...also misquoted in Blade Runner by Roy Batty) "Tempus est optimus iudex" - "Time is the best judge" "The very word "'secrecy'" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings." - John F. Kennedy, New York City, April 27, 1961 |

Here's the link to the stream, I'm just about to start broadcasting the moon. In the meantime you can see what the telescope and moon look like from a standard camcorder: Quoting: Dr. Astro [link to justin.tv] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27090772 United States 11/20/2012 11:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am getting old - in all my life the moon has never seemed so oddly oriented. I live in NE Wisconsin and last winter we never had a winter. When I moved here in 2001 it regularly reached 14 below. This summer we had no pick your own apple crop due to "drought." That never happened before, at least since 2001. Tonight you can stand outside in late-November and observe a half-moon, although off kilter with the Man lying on his ear. Strange - I am sure science will explain it, although my guess is the true explanation is occluded ... It is extremely hard to argue with your own eyes and your own experience. |
