Quoting: OVRANALYZE these images from the Solar Dynamic Observatory show the sunspot just coming into the center of the image. [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] here is a good movie showing its development from spaceweather [link to www.spaceweather.com] Sunspot 1618 Sunspot 1618 continues to expand in the northern hemisphere and is currently producing C-Class Solar flares. This region did also just produce a moderate M1.6 solar flare at 19:28 UTC Tuesday afternoon. This region could produce a stronger solar flare within the next 12-24 hours. Region 1618 (N08E14) has retained its beta-gamma magnetic complexity.....Looks to me like a beta-gamma-delta now...Guess tomorrow it will be updated.... [link to www.solarham.net] |
