I was put on it by my doctor up on craft, because the water has become so acid. My water where I live is so acid, that I must add baking soda to it to make my soy milk, otherwise it will curdle like cottage cheese, in big curds. It did not do this a few years ago.

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER,

Its a great idea...just one thing, please make sure you are using Bi-Carb...NOT baking Soda, Baking Soda has aluminuim in it.

One teaspoon a day in a glass of water should fix alot of ailments , I brush my teefs with it and it is soooo much better than any toofpaste, I also alternate Bi-Carb with shampoo when washing my hair.

Yes. I have used it for this purpose for many years. It seems to work without any problems. Don't put too much in. It dissoves better in warm water.

Pretty sure it is. I think they meant baking powder, which is baking soda and a few other things that usually include aluminum.

Do the sodium bicarbonate and a product called Tri Salts. This gives you a great, balanced, electrolyte and alkaline boost.

Baking soda is bicarbonate of soda (or sodium bicarbonate).

You are referring to reports that Arm & Hammer includes aluminum, but the company flatly denies it.

Another brand of baking soda (found at health food stores) is Bob's Red Mill.

Baking soda alkalizes - diseases thrive in acidic environments.

Are you taking it to cure something or just to prevent cancer? I was thinking of taking it too daily, to prevent cancer and other diseases, but I heard it can throw off your electrolites and be dangerous. Wish there was more reliable information about it.

There are some great related threads on GlP with excellent info about it.

It is great!

my kids take 0.5 gr pill of Sodium Bicarb. every day...and not been sick in the last 2 years!

The reason: no pathogenic microorganism can live in alkaline environment.

No problem with acid digestion at such dosis...

Americans take note. I don't think you can buy "Bi-carb" in the US. Baking soda (Arm and Hammer) is Sodium bicarbonate.

Baking Powder is made from sodium bicarbonate plus other chemicals like aluminum based chemicals.

So.. baking powder Might have aluminum but Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate.

When I make carbonated water, I add a pinch of baking soda to the 2ltr bottle for just a little flavor to make it taste like Pierre water, which is what Club soda is.

Re: Drinking water with added baking soda
This is a quick s'planation of the terms we are using

[link to aww.ninemsn.com.au]

To me Bi-Carb tastes like cold prawns when I brush my teefs with it

going to look up "Cream of tartar now cos no-one is mentioning aluminum...

In Australia we get the "McKenzie's" brand cos they state that there is no aluminum in it
