Over 1.3 million Israelis are still in bomb shelters, and many businesses remain closed. Hamas is regrouping & planning God knows what. When Israelis emerge from their shelters they want to KNOW the threat has been taken care of. If Bibi does sign a truce and rocket attacks resume afterwards then he'll have a lot to answer for considering he'll have said "It's okay now, come out from your shelters." Then elections in Israel in January. Who will Israelis elect then? Yisrael Beitanu? Shas? Look at what radicals there are running for PM promising a "swift and permanent fix" to Gazan rockets. It's only a matter of time. The only reason a truce is being discussed is due to it being acceptable to Islmanic principles, which in this case is known as the Hudna. Typically this is used to quietly build up arms in order to declare war when you can win it. In the case of Hamas, Israel sees a group of psychopathic murderers. What do you you do when you have those, you put them in prison (ie: build a wall around Gaza and prevent movement in or out). Now, when the prisons riot and throw things from the prison walls, what do you do? You send in the swat team. The sad thing is, the prisons have bred, and the innocents have been born...... And nobody has an interest in rescuing them. |
