So God decides to incarnate himself as a human who is both his son and himself simultaneously (somehow the Holy Spirit is tied into this to form a trinity). Jesus (God) is sacrificed on the cross to himself, to die for the sins of mankind. What the fuck kind of sense does that make? My understanding of the word sin is that it basically means: to miss the mark, fall short of the glory of God, whatever that may be.

How does Jesus (God) suffering on the cross somehow make up and “save” people who fall short of the glory of God? The "cross" is not the symbol mention in the original texts of the New Testament. It is more a stake or a pole, which is a more valid translation. It is not the symbol of "the Church", even though most modern day branches of Christianity use it. Jesus is very real though and The Way to God the Father is to accept:
