i am looking to buy a M10-ak47 cal 762x39, is this a good rifle???

i believe is one of the best rifles out there right now but please give me your opinion

Can't go wrong with an AK.

Look into magazine quality and ammo compatibility with the mag.

Also was the gun used? or is it new?

i have a sig sauer p229 equinox .40 cal for hand gun and now i want a good rifle will good and i believe the ak-47 is the best out there

They're a great AK-variant... I've never shot one to date (I'm a Bulgarian Arsenal SA-93 AK man myself) but everything I've read about them has been positive... integrated hider/muzzle break, chrome-lined barrel... good-to-go!

In terms of reliability. Yes.

It'll serve you well. IMO.

Ive only fired handguns so this opinion is based entirely on research.

But I would look into an impact resistant sight, one with low glare, plenty of POV and easy to adjust distance.

Depands on which gun you're talking about as there are a lot of VEPR rifles... the Valmet .223, the Robinson Arms version... the Ukranians even make a bullpup VEPR.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

AK parts are generally interchangeable should something go wrong.

And chances are that will never happen anytime soon even if the rifle was abused in combat.

AK is widely accepted as being resilient (unless you buy a old poorly eastern European model) You could fire an AK upside down with little risk of jamming unlike an AR though I highly advise it.

this M10 ak47 762x39 whent in back order with in days in the past two weeks but i had the luck to pay for one and get it in 6 days from now(california 10 days gay law)

Its a beautiful rifle..

Not sure how accurate it will be at around 250-300 yrds...

Its looks lightweight and we all know how effective ak's can be a midrange.. 100-150 yrds

Ak shines most when they go full auto.

Ak's are banned to semi auto. A good old fashioned Yugo sks would probably much more accurate. But less pretty.

762x39 is a round that is around for a loong long time and gets the jos done better then any other round out there

I love AK's... my AR pals have Dremeled their Colts to nubs trying to get them to fire as smoothly as my SA... no dice.

I bought it brand-new back when Clinton was President... chrome-lined 16" Steyer barrel... milled receiver... immaculate!

And $310 new in the box (they're $6-800 now).

AR are ok but they need to be clean and lube all the time,i don't want that rifle

yes the 762x39 is the best when you need power,distance and more

i have p229 equinox in .40cal,p226 equinox in .40 cal and now i need a rifle

Not as accurate over distance as the M16, but when it hits, it does do a lot more damage.

And you do not have to clean it, ever.

I shot both in Cambodia, and even tho both were similar for accuracy, the AK was a gun I would go to war with.

The M16 did not give me any confidence.

I spoke to a special forces guy in the US last year for about 4 hours about general stuff, and he told me that a guy found an AK in the mud in Iraq. It looked as if it had been there for years. He cleaned the mud off it, and it fired immediately.

He also told me he nearly punched Colin Powell because he (Powell) wanted to leave some guys to die.

300-400 m is all i need and is made in Cugir with brand new parts from the country i am also:)

this M10 made in Romania with a red dot can go 500-550 m no problem and can co true trees so yeah no f.... m16/ar

Supposedly the M16 is more accurate out to 400m, but Sons Of Guns successfully made a 1000 yard sniper rifle out of the AK.
