I get the same symptoms but with migraines and visual effects. Ice pick headaches too. The way you can prove it is to make note of your pain impulses, where it hurts, what time. Then head for the USGS to see where the eq happened. Over time, you will know where the quake is by where your ice pick pain occurs. As for the brain shaking inside your head, again, very likely a sensitivity to a shock felt deep in the earth that will be a quake soon. Or, a blast from the sun vibrated our air, your eyes caught it, and your body reacted. |

| KungPowMeowMeow User ID: 27358318 11/21/2012 04:38 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I get migraines and they are sometimes triggered by jaw clenching. Do these headaches last a while? Do you get any nausea or vision disruptions? Sinus issues? I would look into a few natural remedies first if you are having problems finding a good doc. I find that an ice pack on the area that hurts the most helps immensely. I also will massage my neck, face and feet (for the reflexology) with olive oil mixed with a few drops of peppermint oil. If it is possibly sinus related, get a good decongestant and sit in a steamy bath with some peppermint oil added (even without the sinus issue, this still feels pretty good when I get headaches). Make sure to drink enough water because dehydration can cause headaches as well. A good massage from a massage therapist can relieve other body stresses you may have and will relax your whole body and remove toxins from your system as well. My headaches are usually like my whole skull is in a vice being squeezed, and then the ice picks start.I almost always have auras right before. That's when the pain gets so bad that I vomit. Quoting: KungPowMeowMeow Yeh thats a great point about focusing on the neck for relaxation this is something i must do more. Have yo had any 'professional advice' before on causes and meaning behind the headaches. how long do yours last? mine lasts usually only between 10-30 secs i have had longer ones maybe a min max. but i do have normal headaches often as well. my friends and family always joke how much i go on about my headaches. i suppose stress could be an issue or possibly vision? as i wear quite high prescription and maybe my eyes must be tested once again although i have had maybe 3 test and changes of glasses since my haeadaches started 4/5 years ago. |

| RoseTyler User ID: 3680163 11/21/2012 05:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I used to get them. Not regularly I would say, just occasionally. Like someone struck me very hard either at the side of my head, or at the side of my neck (which would make my whole head twitch). Very painful, but just for a split second before it was gone. And it was always on the left side, both brain and neck. Can't say I've had them in the last couple years though, so I don't know what it was, and it must have passed on it's own. But I always figured it was just some nerve firing off or something. I would perhaps check with the doctor though, if you have them often/a lot. Just because we are alive does not mean we know how to live. |
