Just gotta wonder what the admin will hold over our heads. Fed Funding, no-fly zone or the possibility to cut us off all together. It remains yet to be seen what the outcome will be on both sides. Nullify the entire Fed Gubmint would be a good start though. WAKE UP AMERICA "I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, December 19, 1776 "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 4, September 11, 1777 "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." -- Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President. "A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years, [79 years now in 2012] freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have in varying degrees been abridged by laws brought into force by statutes of national emergency." |

Texas is all bark and no bite like the rest of America. We love high taxes and tyranny here in the good ol' USSA. It feels so good to live in the land of the fee and the home of the slave. And because I saw someone in this thread say something to the effect of "it's ridiculous that our country has to try to overturn federal decisions such as NDAA and the TSA organization." If you think that's bad, Dennis K. tried to pass a bill this year that would make it illegal for the federal government to kill American citizens without a trial. Forward! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18981016 They are gifting NOTHING to Texas. Texas receives 80 cents on every dollar they give to the Federal government. Texas will be better off without the fed. What people need to understand is that Fed money to the states is money the Fed took from citizens of those states in the form of federal income taxes. Would it not make more sense for the states to put the fed on an allowance they (the states) control rather than the current extortion the states must endure? Yes, there will be a transition for Texas, but in the end, they will no longer be enslaved to a collective system. Life is karma and karma always reflects both past and present circumstance. When murder of US citizens, complete violation of the bill of rights, and armed drones are allowed in America, it's obvious that it's too late to work within the system to fix things. People love to make assumptions about Texas when they know nothing about the place First of all, Texas is a state which pays out more than it gets from the feds.
