Food can't be wasted...when tossed out some creature will consume it or it will go back to where it came from...I just hate throwing out food because I paid for it.
Quoting: BRIEF a voice of reason in the desert of green-hippy-earth day-global warming-insanity. just to make myself clear: this is supposed to be a compliment. :)  I would rather see this as sarcasm. What he said goes for s*** as well - some creature will consume it or it will go back to where it came from. But unlike s***, food meant for human consumption and manufactured at a vast expense, should go to humans.
