The media has created a false image of what muslim culture is about... so in countries like the U.S people have this image that muslims are all like Osama Bin Laden or the guy from the movie the Dictator...and that they are evil...

Reading the Koran pretty much answered ALL of my questions.

I have never understood how your culture can be so hateful towards women. No need to go into specifics, there is no question that women do not have equal rights within your culture. It is hard to respect a society that simply does not respect half of the worlds populations, because of gender.

Muslims in general seem to be at the height of ignorance in modern society. It's just so hard to respect something that is the root of so much hate. Don't sit there and cast it all of on the extremists. If those of you who are in fact peaceful don't like the 'bad name' the extremist give you, your problem is with them not us. In fact, western society only recently began treating women better than dirt. Why do you think so many women had to stand up and fight for their rights?

Women used to have no right to vote, no authority within the family unit, no opportunity to work, and CERTAINLY were not viewed equal as men.
