I'm not very good at keeping the shield up. How do you do this and any advice on how to recover?

Also, re-examine your deep beliefs about your role as wife and mother and how you think that relates to your role as YOU.

And why are you so eager to give? This is a big and important question for you to think about deeply.


We are here to live our own life, and generosity is to be from an overflow of abundance. Yes you have a responsibility to provide for your children (not the husband as he is an adult), but don't go around sacrificing your "life sap" except in cases of life or death.

Thank you to those who offered positive advice. I expected some negative-tards to reply as well and that's ok. Negative comments simply show your need to inflict hurt on others. I am amazed at how mean people have become but I've grown used to it in this world.

To replenish your energy get outside. Breathe in fresh air and cleanse yourself from the inside out. Sit in the sun and absorb the light.

Practice Practice Practice! You'll get it.

Find your higher power, God or Spirit Guide. They can replenish and protect you too. Do some meditation if you can.

Don't give too much of yourself. Take care of you and you will figure out your boundaries and energies that you have within.

pray for him while you are on the ph w him... that he be protected from negative energies... ask him to pray for you--shift the context... if you can get him just to think good thoughts about you, this can make a difference... you guys are linked energetically...

pray for him when you get off the ph...

this can be viewed as sending conscious loving energy to him... it should uplift you to do this... sounds like something he is saying, or how he is saying it, is causing a downward spiral energetically...

could also be supernatural negative energies but either way, shift the energy consciously and/or give it up to God...

I sometimes pray the Lord's prayer throughout the day when I feel a negative energy... works great...

shileding can be practiced, and unless i am in some major distress and had a complete braek down and walking around with puncured personality, with a complete hole in my protective shileds, i am pretty good not letting energy vampires get to me.

anything they try and send me, i catch, make stronger and sed right back to them.

i am good with words and have a sharp with, so i break their hostile attention starve, leeching on arses with words.

words are quite a powerful wheapon, they can cut as deeper than swards.

this, however works woth people you are never gonna be in a raltionship with.

for some people, like myself, the wheapon of choice is words, but that is also not only defense that is attack.

or at least be ready for most people to percieve it as you being hostile, since many emotional vampires are initiated into skills you do not know of, or do not have the ability to use, which makes them subtle in their dirty little ways.

i NREVER attack first, and if i make a mistake and attack an inocent person, that wasn't trying to leeach on or control me, or play with me, i apologize and stop.

pertsonally, i didn't last long in a marriage like that, soon after we got marreid and he started attacking me i instinctivly started defending mysefl.
no matter how much i made an effort to handle him with love, and try and explain to him, that when he acts like that he doesn't now how that makes me feel and look bad, after he'd play dumb and pretend he had no idea what he was talking about, my spirit would take over and i'd atack him back, and we ended up having huge, very nasty fights.

you have only one solution to your problem.
you must leave him.
i know it's not what you wanted to hear, but that has been my experience.

This could not be more TRUE, this is how they feed. I stopped reacting and it took 1 year and he left, of course he felt the need to clean me out, over a 2 year period. It all went his stuff, my stuff, house mysteriously burned down, he took his cars and came after mine until I could not afford to fight him in court. The insurance check was in his name. Through all of it I was just fine, I came into this world with nothing and going to go out with nothing. LOL

It made him so crazy that I quit feeding him he tried everything.


Life has been good.

Was I a victim nope, I married him while only 6 mos sober, he was part of my bad choices from alcoholic thinking that I needed to clean up. Life is a trip ride the ride.
