Or you could just enjoy the family you have, be thankful for all the blessings you have in this life and be happy. Why would you try to start a fight....Love is so much better for your soul than fighting.... But to each there own..... |

About half my family is Liberal/Progressive and the other half is very Conservative. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14648539 My plan is to have plenty of booze and hide everybody's keys to their cars so they can't leave. Right before I cut the turkey I'm going to excuse myself to change into my Romney/Ryan tee shirt under the guise I don't want to get food on my cloths then come back to the table and call my panzy nephew a faggot. I'm also going to program my TV to Fox News. What else can I do to make sure we devolve into the use of weapons? p.s. My family is Irish so I'm sure everyone including the kids will be drunk by end of night... ![]() Lmao. Lmao. Careful , you might get shot! ![]() ![]() No Matter Where You Go...There You Are. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 28071191 11/21/2012 12:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I distinctly remember my Thanksgiving 2000 when the recount between Bush/Gore was going on. The consensus around the table was "Well, we don't want Al Gore in there" ... except for the two of us who, somehow, managed to bite our tongues. We already didn't like Bush for the stupid shit he had been saying, and that was before 9/11 (inside job). And no. We did not put food on our family. |
| Captain Spaulding User ID: 28086656 11/21/2012 12:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | AT least you have a family. I'm alone with a chicken leg and my dog. He's all I really need anyway (I mean THE DOG) I'd love to have a family to be with. Because of my work and living situation I've spent the majority of my holiday's alone (I'm 54). By the way, I'm not anti-social, rude, loud, obnoxious, or over-opinionated. I'm a great cook and easy to get along with. I've been alone all my life, except 6 years of marriage and we're still good friends. I'm always amazed at people with brothers and sisters who are adults and hate and fight like cats and dogs. If people knew what is was like to not have family, they'd appreciate what they have. I'm just coming from a perspective of knowing what it's like to be truly alone and watching other's enjoying holidays together. It's a pretty damn empty feeling sometimes. Appreciate what you've got. Don't let petty differences destroy your family. And I'm not in denial that some people can be real jerks sometimes. Attention whores stirring up trouble just to prove they're the ones who are always right on every issue. I just try to separate what matters from what really doesn't. I had a group of friends that were in the same situation and we used to have what we called our "Misfit Holidays". We got together and brought food to the beach, or hung out on the ranch we all lived on and drank brandy with the dogs, fire in the fireplace, playing and cool old rock n' roll on the stereo. I loved those days. But they got ruined. SO it's back to being alone, isolated and depressed. Kinda more than a little sucks. |
