I'm guessing a bunker for emergencies, considering the murals and the fact that if it were a research facility you'd have to bring employees/equipment in to build/test the stuff and with people around all hours that would be tough to pull off without some sort of tunnel system running fairly far away from the airport itself. So... it's more likely an emergency bunker than a research facility, and a clever location where probably few would flee in a disaster. |

I've gone through there several times. There's a train that runs between terminals and the tunnel breaks away from the main track a time or two and goes somewhere, but not sure where. Perhaps that's how to access the more secretive areas? Another thing that struck me as odd was that in the bathrooms near ticketing, the stalls containing the toilets are really tall! About the same depth and width as normal, but way way higher... never seen anything like that. Doors going into them are huge too. Anyone else notice anything interesting about the airport besides the usual murals and statues? |

Conspiracy theories abound" WHAT THE FUCK??? leads to this: [link to www.bing.com] oldie video. Anyone frequent DIA airport for buisness travel or anything? I've been there only a couple times in between flights while visiting family. Never did see those murals. Was curious if those murals are still there? Saw Annubis and that pale horse statue. Freaky stuff. used to live in Denver. flew thru there alot. the blue horse etc always spooked me out. once met a guy who worked in the airport. after we had talked awhile, he said 'you wouldn't believe what's underneath'. this was before I had any curiosity or had been on glp. but now, looking back on our conversation::wtf: |

It was opened in 1981. No longer maintained by the Bulgarian government, it has fallen into disuse. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Did they film part of Inception there? |
