I guess it fits, though. ''Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country.'' —President George W. Part of it is the idiocy of modern communications, lol wtf omg and the like. They complete what Ebonics and generally short attention spans and TV began. |

Quoting: BillTheKat I guess it fits, though. :JimsPC2: "Moran" has a different spelling and meaning from "moron." At least, to me it does. When I'm really pissed I say "moron," otherwise as per GLP convention I use "moran." |

Just goes to show that he is both retarded and entirely dependent on the teleprompter. So if the teleprompter reads it, he says it. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 28194051 United States 11/21/2012 02:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My favorite commonly misspelled word is "definately". I find that particularly amusing because of the certainty that word is meant to convey coupled with the contradiction of having expressed it incorrectly. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27636366 Wtf? That's amusing. You misspelled it. It's "definitely". At least you didn't spell it "defiantly," as I've seen on this forum so many times. |

Moron is the word you use to describe someone like yourself, for instance. MORAN is a name, as in John Q. Moran. Mostly in Australia, but not limited to. Lancelot User ID: 17392071 Canada 11/21/2012 03:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The way I see it, Americans are notoriously unable to: a.) speak, read or write in a foreign language - regardless which one b.) be geographically correct - they need a GPS to navigate their own neighborhood, much less a country overseas c.) competently locate even major body parts d.) use their inherent intelligence regarding such subjects as general health, science and ethics e.) distinguish between truth and BS in the Mainstream Media f.) Don't know how to read a map or write a hand-written letter or multiply and divide without the use of a calculator f.) know the difference between "there" and "their" - "to" and "too" - "eye" and "I" - etc. etc. All this basic incompetence seems to get worse and worse (not worser and worser) every year! 100 years ago, a student leaving High School had much more knowledge, both academically and ethically, than the average graduate from an American university in this day and age. Sometimes, I admit, I cringe when I people pay so little attention to the way they talk and write. What happened to decent email etiquette regarding an opening introduction as simple as "Hello" or an adequate closing statement such as "Thanks" or "All the Best"- followed by an actual NAME? Lest you ask - yes, I am old enough to know the difference! I was born 3/4 of a century ago - without a cell phone glued to my ear - when people still had an intellectual conscience! I rest my case! |
