"The Christian calendar has Jesus’ birth year wrong, Pope Benedict XVI claims in a new book.
The mistake was made by a monk named Dionysius Exiguus who overshot Christ’s birth by “several years,” the Pope wrote, according to the Telegraph .
Benedict’s claim, published in his third and final volume of Jesus’ biography, aligns with similar views of historians who have said Jesus could have been born anytime between 7BC and 2BC.
The Pope also argues that there were no oxen, donkeys or camels — common in nativity scenes — at the birth of Christ.
“There is no mention of animals in the Gospels,” he wrote.
The book, “Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives” released Wednesday and will be published in nine languages.
It was released under the Pope’s real name, Joseph Ratzinger. The first two volumes of the biography were published in 2007 and 2011."

I personally think that this passage means that the Anti-Christ will change the calendar somehow. Restart the whole system. Usher in a politically correct "New Era" calendar to the world.
As we see, the Pope says our current calendar is currently wrong. Him, and many others agree on the fact that Jesus was born several years BC. If this comes out to be true, then that would bring reason to change the calendar to something more correct! Am I the only one that can see Obama changing the calendar to something more "Politically Correct?" Because, saying the year is 2012 would be offensive to non-christian religions. Because it doesn't match their doctrine.
But event could possibly be big enough to change all the calendars into something more widely accepted, and more politically correct?

Bingo! Discovery of extraterrestrial life of some sort! Whether it's something as simple as microbes on the surface of Mars, or something as extreme as Dinosaurs or magical flying whale/unicorn hybrids. It would be ground-shaking information that we are not alone in the universe!
IF this is the big surprise NASA has waiting for us, we could very well see the calendar changed to "New Era, Year 1" or something along those lines
