The President is always sworn in on January 20th....not some Monday in January. There are precedents for a small oath taking ceremony if you have been elected to a second term. The idea is that people will consider it wasteful to spend tons of monIey on a huge inauguration.Sometimes there is a low-key swearing in at the Capitol and that's my guess for the upcoming inauguration.

I see that the 20th falls on Sunday (which has happened before for swearing ins) and then the oath is taken either in the Capitol or the East Room and all parties, parades, etc. are held the next day.

This is how the inauguration will be done and, if the inauguration day falls on Sunday, it is common and routine to take a private oath on Sunday and have public festivities on Monday.

There are enough conspiracies in the world without manufacturing on just because you don't like Obama.
