In fact, just tune into a popular Indian TV news channel. We all know corruption is endemic in India, and yet after multiple hours a day these news anchors spend debating with supposed experts and all sorts of politicians, the depth of their analysis is just plain retarded. Every time a major scandal comes to light they try to disguise their mess of an Indian mind and attempt to portray this intelligent, institution-aware and neutral Brit, along with the accent, and go on trying to give all greedy fucks in power the benefit of the doubt, feigning(?) surprise at each new allegation leveled and pretending as if we run a nice perfect system that people respect, rather than culturally resent and seek to circumvent. This is the essence of modern India - ignore the shithole and escape to the wealthier parts of major cities, or better yet, leave altogether.
