I have been following this Sinkhole for a while now. From the beginning actually. My Father worked in the Oil Patch for 40 plus years so we often talk about whats going on there. He's just about 88 years old but still sharp as a tack. Yesterday I saw the thread about the H2S gas at the other Cavern and talked to him tonight about why H2S Gas would be there and at what depth and about them drilling these relief wells.

It ain't good guys. He got really quiet for a minute when I told him about the H2S gas and how the Caverns keep collaspeing and the cracks in the sea floor and well all of the information to date about the whole area and the field.

I mean I had to ask him if he was still there cause he got so quiet. All he could say that and I quote. " Its in Gods Hands Now " End Quote. He then asked if they were evacuateing people from that area yet. He then said that there was no need to wait for the end date of 2012 cause this is the Bible Prophecy that were all waiting for. He said they cannot undo what Mother Nature will unleash on that Coast Line around the Gulf and around that whole field. There's no way to fix it. Its a bomb. A bomb waiting to go off. Anything could touch it off now. Lightening strike. Power Line. Anything. Fire will come up through the ground all over the place.

Listen Guys. I don't know what too say too you all living in that area. Its nice to think that nothing will happen but it probably will. Take your loved ones and get out. Get away from that whole area and Gas Field. Get out of there. I will pray for you. I'm Sorry.

Somebody must find out what percentage the H2S content is of that gas thats leaking out. MUST FIND OUT...! H2S comes from deep wells not shallow wells. Shalow wells are Sweet Gas. H2s is from Sour Gas and deep wells. Must know the percentage of H2S.

It isn't uncommon for H2S to accumulate in the tops of the salt domes. They've been handling this stuff for a long time in the coastal areas that have salt dome storage.
It may not be as dire as it seems right now.

Whatever buddy. This is more than just accumulating H2S. Need to make them tell what percentage this is coming out with the Gas.

Texas Brine is submitting a proposal to the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources that the well no longer be used for venting and that it be closed permanently by plugging it.
4. Venting and flaring of natural gas from the shallow aquifer Relief Well #1 continued today and will continue 24 hours per day until Monday, November 26. On Monday, it is planned to remove water in the casing that is apparently impeding gas flow to the surface. It should be noted that during the entire life of Relief Well #1, hydrogen sulfide has not been detected."

BAYOU CORNE, LA (WAFB) -
According to the Assumption Parish Police Jury website, increased seismic activity was recorded between 6 p.m. and midnight, Tuesday. The cause of this activity is unknown at this time. The tremors occurred on the same day dangerous gases were discovered at one of the vent wells at the sinkhole.

Oh My God. Its too Late tonight to call my Dad and relay this too him. He's really concerned about all this. We have Family that Winter about 300km from this mess. He begged them not to go but they did. I haden't seen this. Thankyou for posting it. If their permanently plugging it there is somthing wrong. Very Wrong. Bless your soul for paying attention.

Sinkhole H Bomb explosion equivalent in Bayou Corne possible

I'd get a statement from local firefighters/police/health and safety organizations, abandon my home and sue for damages. No reason to stay and hope for the best, property value has dropped to zero.

Bless you too...I could "hear" the sincerity and anxiety in your posts and remembered thinking those fires from yesterday didn't seem "right."

1. The Observation Well will remain shut in until Monday, November 26. Casing pressure will be continuously monitored today through Monday morning.

2. Debris, apparently from the bottom of the sinkhole, rose to the surface accompanied by a brief period of water movement. That debris is being cleared from the surface. There have been no other observable changes to
the sinkhole shape or size. Skimming of residual hydrocarbon material the tree-lined southern and southeastern edges of the sinkhole perimeter continued today. No clean-up activities are scheduled for Thanksgiving Day.

There plugging that well and pulling out. I suggest everybody in the area do the same thing. Please. Please just leave. Listen to my advice. My Dads and the person who said to get statements and get out. Get out now. The fires have even started looks like. Please leave. Do it now.

Somebody has to find out what the Precentage of the H2S was that came out of that well. Get on it somebody. Somthing happened. H2S just doesn't show up like that. This is very Important. My dad needs to know.

Oh gosh, well I wish it were better news, but nonetheless, I am glad YOU tied it all together and made sense of the dots.
