I still think this was a plan to ensure that Israel can go in with the ground war with full backing of the world. If warships are heading there from the States then they might go in with Israel when the ceasefire is broken.

False flag operations are the only reasonable method of achieving an agenda that would otherwise require the opponent to move a chess piece. Why wait years for them to make the move, when all I have to do is fire a rocket on myself and point the finger at them? So, if you did that in mockery, then you should probably open your mind up a little bit.
