im poor but we eat fine,im an old fashiondn girl who cooks like my mom did,if my children choose not to eat it they go with out no crp food, thye soon want it in the end kids are s used to eating take out all the time.the goverment in the uk havnt a clue how hard it is for people on low wages, they just give everything to the ones who dont wana work, my kids have pack lunch at school wile there poor freinds have free dinners and they arnt poor thye got more than us. free rent and all.its the ones on low waged who should get help like higher wages, we work to eat and pay bills no holidays no luxurys.i have a nabor on benefits who go abroud every year and do alot better than we do its not fare.i skip meals all the time to be honest always have, but i always make sure everyones fed in my home.the way food prices are going up and bills thoe i dont know how we gona cope in the future its allready geting bad and i have to by the cheapest of everything.

It was a different world growing up in the 60's. You were taught manners, hard work, etc. If I ever tried to back talk an adult I would be minus teeth and as mentioned if I didn't like dinner oh well, go hungry.

I hardly ever see kids playing outside anymore and more often then not when I see kids interacting with adults they say whatever they want and god forbid you spank your kid, they already know they can get you in trouble.

People's circumstances can change in an instant and the first priority is to take care of your kids and make sure their needs are met. I could go on and on but I wont LOL.

I totally understand the anger towards people that are on the dole and don't do anything to help themselves however they are those that are really in need.

Just wanted to add. We were very poor growing up and often had nothing to eat. We didn't have free lunches and there were times I would sneak and look in the garbage in the school lunchroom for something to eat.
