Character = Who you really are. Ego is flawed because it allows a person to live a fake life based upon what they believe others think of them. People with ego problems need not be present to found out. A look at their material possessions will tell you all you need to know. In order to find the character of someone, they need to be present because it is based on actions, not image or material. |

So at some point will my particular here and now be always my higher self talking to me down here in this world? Don´t try to be schizophrenic. There is but One TRUE Self, the eternal and infinite One. Not confined to your particular here and now. You have to get rid of your particular ego by searching for the infinite and eternal. |

Continue to ask these questions to yourself and see the answers your life provides. My experiences are not text book and do not apply like a definition in a dictionary. The meaning of these experiences are specific to use personally, so a one size fits alls definition does not work for me. Ego continually challenges me. Releasing ego vs lack of self esteem is constantly playing out for me to balance. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28255783 Don't you believe what you've seen, or you've heard. People with alot of ego are extremely easy to control and manipulate be cause their reactions are not based on reality...they're based on perceptions. Imagine a fitness gym without a mirror or invisible make up. |

Their trick is to make you think your ego is your own. It is not though. It has been installed for you by those who control your reality...TPTB. If you went to school in the US after the 1950's, watched TV since the 1950's, or did business with the governmnet since the 1950's....you have been overwritten. |

When my ego is really negative, though, It sort of separates from me. I've lost my temper before, and I wasn't controlling what was comming out of my mouth. MAny of you have soeme good points, but what about my ego itself? Is it alive/conscious? Its so hard for me to imagine it not to be. |

Its so strange, I am experiencing it first hand, but I annot see what it is doing 100% of the time. |

You have to get rid of your particular ego by searching for the infinite and eternal. but this leads me to a paradox. I am confined to here and now. But my true self is not. But I am my true self all the time by definition. see what i mean. Its stuff like this that is getting me. |

In this example, I view ego as your attachment to winning the argument. Ego wanted you to be right and drove you to get caught up in emotions, this case anger. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 6069405 11/22/2012 07:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you are confused.. ego is internal dialogue wich keep creating your world. Your Ego is not your brain and not even you. Think about it. When you talking to your self, you always do that. Quoting: spacewander 23236244 who is it then? I want to understand. I know its not me. It think it is a part of you that is driven by attachments that you have inflated to have importance. For me it is a constant effort to tame my ego, silence it, and keep it in check. |

In time everything is distorted and an illusion caused by the fact its all temporary. So I am in no-time right now, but in a temporary illusion and upon the cessation of said illusion I will be in no-time again realizing I never really was anywhere at all? so that means that I am in no time, which makes sense because I am always in "now"... I dont' know. I am jsut thinking till my mind explodes i need help please. I need logic. There are logical errors in all this. Is it possible for logic not to apply? does not seem logical. but non-logic would not be. |
