This world is built upon and is run upon LIES, 90% of what we are taught (programmed) to believe is truth, are utter LIES. The worst part is that it usually starts out from your brainwashed parents. Santa Claus, Easter bunny, tooth fairy?? LIES interwoven into the fabric of society. No wonder it's so heartbreaking and utterly demoralizing to realize eventually as adults that this world isn't the fantasy land you were led to believe it is. No wonder substance abuse is so bloody rampant, the truth of this world at times can be pretty ugly, I pray for those souls to find their peace. Yes and therein lies the major problems globally with politics. All governments have lied repeatedly for decades to the citizens of their countries. Over time, as some of the lies have been exposed for what they were, people as a whole have come to despise politicians. This has a lot to do with why it is getting harder and harder to get people to the poles, as more and more people have come to the conclusion that the whole system is corrupt and their votes do not mean a damn thing. Sadly, the US government has gotten to the point that no one anywhere believes anything they say. Between the constant lies and the fact that they are friends one minute (when you have something they need) and your enemy the next (when it is politically expedient)............. is it any wonder that the people in so many countries protest against the US on a regular basis? The "elections" are RIGGED, so who cares about how many voters go to the polls!? The ignorant masses at the polls lends legitimacy to the facade. It would be a little more difficult to sell the charade if no one voted.
