There have been times in my life when I have met someone, and instantly known that the person would be a VERY important person at some later point - for good or evil - whether they would be important to me personally, or to the 'world' / community / other people in general.

I knew when I met my ex-wife that she was going to play a major role in my life, and not for the better - although I did not fully understand this until years later. This is how these 'after the fact' realizations of what you already knew usually happen.

I knew when I met my current wife that she was going to play a major role in my life, but this time FOR the better. 20 years later this has been proven time and again.

There have been other people along the way. The guy who I trained at my old job, and I was 'led' to refrain from teaching him certain things or letting him in on 'the quirks' of our various jobs. In time he became our supervisor - and our jobs were far better protected for not having let him in on some of our activities (nothing profound, just ways to make our jobs easier).

The same thing happened when I saw Barack Obama elected to the U.S. senate. I had an uneasy feeling that this man's importance was going to be FAR greater than just a simple senator. I don't yet know where he will lead us, but that also came to fruition.

Mostly? I think it's called instinct. As for your run-in with "W", I think it's entirely possible that your 'aura' of recent coversion was readily apparent. I don't know that GWB is purely evil of course, but as a practicing Mormon, one of the things we believe is that in these 'last days', there is a 'vast worldwide conspiracy, that seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands' (as prophesied by Joseph Smith) and that those who are involved KNOW what they do, and they also KNOW who they are and KNOW the role that they play. We call this conspiracy the "Gadianton Robbers" which is a direct offshoot of the brotherhood of Cain - those who will commit any and all acts up to and including murder for gain of power, influence, wealth, you name it, and is directly answerable to Satan himself. So if GWB was in fact a full-fledge participant in the doings of evil - it's entirely likely that he had the power to recognize the good in you and was taken aback by it. As you said - devils are extremely offended by the "light of Christ". As a recent 'convert' to Christ, that power of belief would have been much stronger in you than in others who are 'going through the motions".

Bottom line? This means you had more of the power of God on your side and evident in you that day than you ever realized. If it were me, that alone would be enough to allay my fears about the events of that day. YOU WERE ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

My experience (as a Christian) with demon possessed people is that you get a very cold feeling within your body and especially up your spine when they are present. They kind of "set back" like they don't want to get to close to you. They try to give you this cold stare, as if to try and intimidate you. My reaction is to move closer to them. I like seeing them squirm. I want the Holy Spirit to reach out from within me a crush them in front of my face.

I knew a German Christian in Texas. He had been a major in the German army. He told me he once met Hitler. I asked him about that experience. He said Hitler had green eyes that appeared to look right through you and that you kind of stood there...kind of like paralyzed...like you described.

Were you high on some drug?

Maybe he was shocked by your drug stupor?

Well, as the child of a SS agent, your activities would have been monitored constantly by SS and the CIA for various reasons, such as to make certain no one uses YOU as a way to get to your father, who might then -for his family's sake- put the President in danger or worse.

Keeping with the monitoring aspect, everything you did, said, or, any place you went would have been KNOWN.

So, it is plausible that there was something you did or said that came to Bush's attention. At the time, he had two young daughters, who were party animals to a point. Before your conversion, is it possible that you may have innocently enough mentioned something about one of them to a friend, upon having learned that at the end of the year you would be having dinner at the White House? I am certain that such an invitation would have been known by Summer, before the events which led to your saving.

BTW, if you were saved, it seems plausible that your lifestyle prior to this saving may have been less than perfect, leading to your coming to Christ.

The look that you describe on the President's face that night sounds very similar to the look that any father might give a young man who had an eye on his daughter....OR, from someone who has learned something questionable about a person they are about to meet.

I highly doubt that he saw Christ in your face. Rather, he was probably reacting to INTEL known about you, giving you a STERN look to let you know he was aware of something you did or said.

My uncle was a detective and my mom was an undercover police officer, both for NYPD, when I was growing up. The summer I was 19, I was on a local beach drinking; I came home sober before midnight. Still, my mother KNEW where I had been earlier that day. There were many other instances like this, where my activities were known and monitored. It was quite maddening.

As the son of a SS agent, I'm sure you got it worse.

OP, is there any chance that you misinterpreted this situation? I really doubt GW had some weird reaction to you personally. more likely his mind was on something else when he met you and he didn't realize how you were taking him.

I was in the same room with him once and had the pleasure of hearing him speak. My take on him was that he was a really genuine and good guy--and smart. A very different person than the press made him out to be.

The fact that you deemed his smile "goofy" makes me think YOU were predisposed to dislike HIM.

Maybe he smelled the weed off of you and wanted some...but figured you smoked it all and gave you the evil eye !
