Religious people tend to bestow all the power of the Universe over to another Human being (Jesus, Buddha, Allah etc)in a very submissive manner instead of realizing their own incredible power and purpose.
So you already fear authority. Bush was one of authority (although he was a fresh criminal back then) so your impression of him might be different then say, mine!
