Quoting: AmericanJedi It's amazing that the freedom that most people are so vehemently trying to earn is the right to escapism! Right....and also, everyone knows that Blacks who smoke weed rape innocent white women (Reefer Madness), and oh, Marijuana makes you grow boobs! (8th grade health teacher). We should be arguing about more important issues. Like...like....if Obama is really a terrorist! Or, or......no more twinkies!??!?!? Get real. This is something that actually affects the whole world. The netherlands are one of the only places with soft drug decriminalization, and that is important, because it shows decriminizing soft drugs not only prevents the violent cartels from working in those areas, but also is harmless, and decriminalization alone can help restore or support an economy. If you don't smoke marijuana, good for you! I don't either! I sure don't like the idea of the united states supporting terrorists though, and via the War on Drugs, we do. The MExican cartels. I also don't like being told I can't grow or smoke a harmless plant, and even though I don't, I stand with the people who do, and want the right to do so. |

Escaping is the point.... have you taken a look around the world recently - escaping from this shit seems like a good deal if you ask me... and we're going to need those "useless hipsters, pothead boomers, and Rastafarians" to give the rest of us a destination to where we all need to escape to - because if we keep heading on the path we're on we're fucked... In short we should be fucking relieved that there are some brave souls left in this world trying to find out where we need to escape too and quickly... |

Quoting: Mordier L'eft Amsterdam welcomed Tuesday changes in the national government's drug policies as a green light to let tourists keep rolling in to the city's 220 world famous cafes that sell cannabis, marijuana and pre-rolled joints alongside cups of coffee. On Monday night, Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten sent a letter to Parliament announcing he was scrapping a nationwide rollout of the so-called "weed pass" that was designed to keep non-Dutch residents out of coffee shops. Those international plane tickets can buy a lot of something else. Amsterdam is ok, but only if you can't get good weed at home and have never been there before. After a few times it gets old pretty quick. |

Only thing you need is an ID. Perhaps for foreigners coffeeshops may require a certifacte of residency - not birth(this is often misspoken because most coffeeshop visitors are retarded as shit) - as to only sell to residents of the Netherlands , since the whole reason why the pass was implemented was to reduce drugs tourism but more prominently, troubles that come with dumbass tourists trying out drugs. So it's just foreigners fucking it up because they're dumb as shit about drugs and drug use in general. Can't blame them though, since their governments are fucking retarded for illegalizing weed and busting people for it in the first place. |

They now see WA and CO as competition now for refer tourism. I think we should build a refer amusement park up here in WA and CO saying come one and all bring your money here. I think its funny, the Mexican gov sent a protest letter as well as the UN protested over our legalization. Ha Ha.. lick it and stick it. |

Glad to hear they are scrapping the idea of not letting foreigners in the coffee shops! I also saw something there I had never seen before (last time I was there for two weeks in 2005): bright green, coca-infused liquor! Wish I had gotten some to bring home in my suitcase..... |
