Falling Water (Mope)

When I saw the Spirit move
In what men called the beginning
I knew it was the end

He pulled the light from within me
And with this willful act
Left behind an empty darkness

So when the sun and sky conspire
To steal away my substance piece by piece
I command my children to fall again

There are some souls who see and feel
This returning as their despair
But I
For a time
Have filled my heart
