No. We see what "control" has done in our own governments, and in other governments. We see how slavish devotion to religions is destroying countries. Why does anyone want to follow in the footsteps of tyranny? We have laws now about collecting rainwater, govt wants to confiscate our land and our retirement incomes. And now you want to follow in their footsteps and exert control over half the species. Think about that.

I mean, do you want this written into law? Have a little law book everyone can refer to about what is or is not allowed, set up a special little police force to deal with infractions, new jails for housing of independent thinking women? Cut off their hands or heads if they offend your “honor”?

I see posts here about how women need to be controlled, but I don't see real examples of how the way women act is any better or worse than how men act. How do you really know how most women voted? How do you really know how most men voted? And why on earth are you lumping all women together as if they are robots that all think and act the same? It would appear some men gravitate to only one type of woman, and that is all they know. They assume all women must be like that. I say, look at yourself first, if this is the case. Why are you only able to find women who dissatisfy you?

Are men not just as responsible for restraining themselves before marriage, as women? Why do so many men push and deceive young girls for sex before marriage, saying, if you loved me, you would do this for me?

Many men would feel since they had "society sanctioned" control over women, that would mean they could use the women in any way they wanted, whenever, they wanted. Would that be any better? I don’t think that is what your bible quotes meant.

I am seeing an increased number of men posting misogynistic viewpoints lately, and it seems to be either because some are threatened by women and want to feel in control, some just aren't being satisfied sexually and believe “control” would solve that, and some are really just wanting to spread hate and discontent. This inciting hate, discontent, and inequality is no different from the increased racists posts, the libtard/reptard political bashes, the religious tirades---these posts only serve to divide and separate us. They are more about whining “I want everyone to be like me, to do what I say, because I’m not happy and I want more control!!” than they are about improving anything in our society. Do we not already have enough strife in our society? Why are some trying to incite yet another topic of difference to rile emotions?

And as another poster said, who would be the man? Would a 13-year-old boy have the same "control" as a mature, reasonable, adult male? And who is that mature, reasonable, adult male? And what do you mean by control? Deciding what time they should go to bed, when they should eat, when they can leave the house, who their friends are, when you want sex, what? Does it include physical punishments like in Saudi? Where does it end? Start with women, go on to races, then political parties and mentally ill, I mean why do you think you have the right?

The very word "control" is ominous. It implies one must have power and the other must be powerless.

There is something very wrong with this thinking.

We were put on earth to learn about good and bad, and to find BALANCE. That means accepting differences, and learning to deal with them in positive ways. We each have a feminine and a masculine side. To deny the beauty and freedom of expression of either of them is harming you.
