This only works when the man loves and obeys God. Period. It is not giving a man the right to dominate, control and be mean to a woman. God orders, (doesn't suggest), that a husband love his wife as Christ did the church. And orders a wife to obey her husband. A wife is an Ezer. Man's helper, not in a condescending way, in an honorable way. This IS the way God intended a marriage to be, in my ever so humble opinion. But that husband has to follow God's word, not his own word, not the world's word for it to be successful!
