Come on man, I've been to multiple websites and they are all saying the same thing, there is almost 100 percent certainty that this thing will Miss us. We won't even be able to see it without a telescope, it's close but I've seen closer last year. It is big though and if it were to hit it still wouldn't be as strong as the Tunguska event. Just FYI, I hate to see people scared for no reason.

Now *this* is more like it.

I hope it lands right on DC when Congress is hastily passing laws to enslave us even further.

And I hope Pressident Ohole is there too.

it will still pass us about 34,000 km's away.

34,000km's is pretty far away for a rock only 170' or 57m in size.

even if it hit....not much world wide doom from that impact.

locals might not be so well off.

condition 4 means of a scale (1-9) 1 being the best and most stable orbit info....this is a "4" now a "9" would make one think about this....."4" not so bad.

Look at February 16th. The JPL SBDB says it will be 3.0E-4 AU. That is about 2,789 miles. Why does everyone keep saying the 15th?

'Should' miss us by about 2100 miles, BUT what IS the plus/Minus connected with this calculation ?

IF it was + or - 50%, it could be as close as 1050 miles. IF those numbers were 'faulty', we could have a VERY nasty surprise for some place on Earth !

Not big enough to do that much damage (maybe tunguska like?). Hopefully it won't be over a highly populated area .. then it would be a different story.

I'm going to try one more time. On February 16th, it will be 3.0E-4 AU. This is .00003 AU, or 2,789 miles. Everyone is obsessed about the 15th, but it's the 16th we have to worry about.

Can a collision with a satellite make that space rock turning toward Earth.

You need to go back to math class. 3.0E-4 AU is .0003 AU NOT .00003. You move the decimal place four spots, you don't add 4 zeros.

Government school math education at it's finest (not to mention "you" spelling).

01.00 LD = 240,000 miles.
00.1 LD = 24,000 miles.
00.01 LD = 2,400 miles.
00.001 LD = 240 miles.
00.09 LD = 21,600 miles.
