We already have this (for now), it's called Social Security, and they've fucked that so royally, I don't expect to ever see a dime. Now they want to force us into giving them more? Just another tax that benefits nothing but them.

i just read agenda 21 book, and all through that I kept thinking, how did we get to that point (the point in which the state owns everything and the individual owns nothing, and their contribution to the 'republic' involves making energy (walking on a board that transfers energy to the collective) not to mention no families allowed, rations with no flavor, no paper books pencils. Republic controlled schools, babies taken and raised by government up to 'breeding' age and then given a job that includes producing energy. All the while worshipping the earth and nature, where picking a blade of grass is punishable by death.

It didnt happen overnight...that horrid world. It is a journey.

This is a move in that direction on a path to that directive.

Well, boo-hoo. At least there is something in the works. Hell, I've paid in too, and I want something there for me. Social Security is bankrupt, so need an alternative. Might as well be an investment in our country.

Perhaps it is time for the middle class to learn how the rich work at saving their money for their kids.

I have a 401k. I would like to leave the money to my kids after I die.

Instead, of a 401k or ROTH, if the laws change, perhaps people should start a company. Then they can invest in stocks inside that company. This way the money is protected, and they can leave to their kids. Kids can be part of the company - avoid the death tax.

Just a thought.

You can give $13,000 a year away tax free. If you start now by giving to your kids (put it in an account in their name), then you can still convert a lot of it over time. It's not much, but tax free is tax free. There are other ways I'm looking into, and I haven't thought of what you suggested.

They don't care about 40+ people other than our money and entitlements. This type of thing is for the 20 somethings out of college who have been taught that the older generation is a blight on society and resources and they have bankrupted their future, so now they want some payback.
