People Going Insane On Black Friday

Went to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner like most folks yesterday. Driving home around 8:30pm We saw people lined up all the way around a huge Target store in between cities. They were just waiting for the store to open. The line was so long and there were so many people that we were able to see them clearly from the interstate (about half a mile off) driving by at 70mph. Those people are flipping insane.

I saw on the news yesterday that they started putting up their tents on the sidewalks days ago. Insanity!

It's crazy because a lot of the stores only carry like 10 of the items advertised. So, you have hundreds of people lined up for a $298 40-in HDTV, but only the first 10 people get it.

Black Friday got off to a rowdy start at a San Antonio mall where police say one shopper pulled a gun on another who punched him in the face while they were waiting in line at a Sears store.

Altamonte police said the woman was arrested for several things Thursday night. They said she was being disruptive in the traffic line outside the store. They also said Chavez tried to bully the officer directing traffic and refused to go in line the way she was supposed to.

When Chavez got inside the Walmart, police officers said she caused a scene and threw merchandise on the ground.

I cannot believe the way people behave over the opportunity to save a few bucks on something. Sheesh.

I do not understand why hoards of sheople cram themselves into shopping malls the day after Thanksgiving. To save a little money? I'm sorry, but it just isn't worth it to me. I would rather pay regular price for something I could freely walk in and out of a store in 10 minutes than to stand in the middle of a mob for hours. Those people are nuts.

I remember last year this poor walmart employee was tramped to death when they opened the doors.

I'll never forget that as long as I live.

These stores should not be allowed to have these events after it's been proven to put people's lives in danger. They can't control the insane mobs that show up.

Why not have the sales and deals online shopping only? Problem solved and nobody gets hurt.

Mmmm...Greed brings out the worst in people. When SHTF, these are the people that you want to keep a far distance from. Imagine how they would react from hunger.
