I've posted this a few times on other threads, but after watching that first video, I thought it might need repeating.

Black Friday. Only in America can we create a day when unbridled greed, undisciplined desire, shortsighted financial insanity, selfishness and consumer lust explode, driven by even greedier corporations and credit card companies that know exactly how to play their asses.
But it's worth it, right? I mean, come on, it's in the name of giving, after all. Right?
So come on!
Everybody does it, so don't be left out. You should spend more money than you know you can afford, because it's required of you. Just charge it, and end up paying many times more than that crap you bought was worth. The TV ads tell you, and you must listen. It's all about Christmas!
Yes, the same holiday you are watching being banned left and right. But don't let that stop you! You don't need no Nativity scenes! You need 'lectric reds, blues and greens! (Don't forget to buy plenty of faulty Christmas lights made by the trillions in China! Plastic lights require oil to make, and all that Walmart and dollar store shit you buy is crappy plastic so do your part to keep the pipelines flowing!)
But this is about Black Friday. The day you set out to purchase something to make someone happy, and you'll run over any son of a bitch that gets in your way. There's plenty of time to spread holiday cheer, just as soon as you've plundered and pillaged, and given your credit card swipe burn. Remember, that little old lady reaching for the last cheapass gift box on a shelf in Marshall's doesn't need it as badly as you do.

youre right. perhaps i was premature in assuming this and perhaps i should take my own advice. however if my assumption was correct (only these people and God knows this) my advice and warning should be heeded.

This entire Black Friday thing makes me sick to my stomach!

I’m saddened to see that our society has become so materialistic that people will resort to pushing and fighting to buy junk made in foreign countries with credit cards that they will never be able to pay.

If you are shopping on Black Friday, Did you purchase anything made in the USA with CASH? I doubt that many people can say yes to both.

There is NOTHING that I want or need badly enough to subject myself to the madness that retailers have created in an attempt to add black numbers to their bottom line.

If you think you got a great deal today, wait until after Christmas and watch what happens, shopping will come to a halt as many retailers will close their doors. Stores will be basically giving items away in order to clear their shop floors and hand the keys over to the bank.

People have clearly lost sight of what the season is really about….family, friends, and… Oh yea, the birth of Christ.

Shop on my friends if it makes you happy, but I will be at home eating leftovers and making Christmas gifts for the people I love.

Those people act like zombies to save a few dollars. You can buy all that crap on-line.

Thing is, they don't "save". Deals can be found anytime. It's always on sale

Just more debt. The Funny Money holiday. Swipe your plastic for Chinese bling, most of which will be used for "entertainment" (ie, getting fat in front of the Idiot Box).

Another facet of this society which I want no part of.

Or not buy that crap at all. Buy what you need, not what your TV tells you to.

I bought a pair of good walking shoes (rockports) as my current ones are falling apart as they were made by kmart from when I was less well funded, and a game to keep myself entertained as I don't watch television much.

Currently looking for a coat for the winter as well as a nice sweater.



I have simple tastes.

Yes, it is! I am a single mom of three. :-) I haven't done too horribly, lol. I have a 16 year old, 15 year old, and an 8 year old...I could brag all day about all of them. I was super strict when the teens were little, give them a little bit more freedom to think on their own now. I just want them to grow into responsible, caring, compassionate adults. I think they're all headed in the right direction. :-) The 15 year old....male, he's got a way to go, lol, but he'll get there!

You know whats even more scary?
The fact that despite crazy stuff like this every year on black friday;morons still refuse to acknowledge that this could happen all the time when SHTF.

Imagine how much worse it would be if people were fighting to get at food and water instead of merely saving a few bucks on retail.

I must say, THAT scares the hell out of me! Hopefully, it'll take the sheeple a bit to realize what's going on and it will give me time to go Loot the Pharmacy first! I can't even imagine living in a large city in those days.

If you were a producer of cheap plastic phones, wouldn't a tear come to your eye when you see that many people so enthusiastic about obtaining your product? They lose whatever dignity and civility they may have left, even disregard for personal safety, to buy something they could buy on any other day of the week. But how do people get so stupid and crazy over a phone? Who put the hype?
It's those devils of consumerism, the Advertisers. Masters of human behavior, manipulators of the Trend. The fomenters of the frenzy. They work hard for this day. Their corporate partners would be nowhere without them.
This "holiday" is for you, ad guys.

Because nowadays women aren't ladies - they're animals.

I'm imagining one of those Budweiser adverts "Real Men of Genius" adverts.

it will only get worse in the usa but instead of fighting over toys and phones they will be fighting over food parcels...
