| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1044117 11/23/2012 12:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've posted this a few times on other threads, but after watching that first video, I thought it might need repeating. --------------------------------------- Black Friday. Only in America can we create a day when unbridled greed, undisciplined desire, shortsighted financial insanity, selfishness and consumer lust explode, driven by even greedier corporations and credit card companies that know exactly how to play their asses. But it's worth it, right? I mean, come on, it's in the name of giving, after all. Right? So come on! Everybody does it, so don't be left out. You should spend more money than you know you can afford, because it's required of you. Just charge it, and end up paying many times more than that crap you bought was worth. The TV ads tell you, and you must listen. It's all about Christmas! Yes, the same holiday you are watching being banned left and right. But don't let that stop you! You don't need no Nativity scenes! You need 'lectric reds, blues and greens! (Don't forget to buy plenty of faulty Christmas lights made by the trillions in China! Plastic lights require oil to make, and all that Walmart and dollar store shit you buy is crappy plastic so do your part to keep the pipelines flowing!) But this is about Black Friday. The day you set out to purchase something to make someone happy, and you'll run over any son of a bitch that gets in your way. There's plenty of time to spread holiday cheer, just as soon as you've plundered and pillaged, and given your credit card swipe burn. Remember, that little old lady reaching for the last cheapass gift box on a shelf in Marshall's doesn't need it as badly as you do. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1880593 11/23/2012 12:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't.......it's not worth risking your life to save a few dollars. Go tomorrow instead. I do not understand why hoards of sheople cram themselves into shopping malls the day after Thanksgiving. To save a little money? I'm sorry, but it just isn't worth it to me. I would rather pay regular price for something I could freely walk in and out of a store in 10 minutes than to stand in the middle of a mob for hours. Those people are nuts. Quoting: Resister I agree! I think I went to the mall on black friday one time, when I was about 19 yrs old. That was only because my buddy really wanted to go. It was such a pain in the butt, we had to drive around like 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Then, you could barely move in the stores. I'm going to shop just like I have the past few years- online. what makes you any better than the people who go out on black friday among the madness? youre still shopping for material goods and looking for deals on stuff you dont need, just lusts of the flesh...just either at the convenience of your fingertips or by going when theres less crowds. do you not see the fault in your reasoning? can you not see youre just as guilty? remove the plank from your own eye before you cast righteous judgement...dont be a hypocrite. Mathew 6:19-20 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal" Why are you so quick to think he is shopping for things he doesn't need? Maybe his shoes are worn, maybe money is tight and he has that right to look for the better deal. What about thou shalt not judge? youre right. perhaps i was premature in assuming this and perhaps i should take my own advice. however if my assumption was correct (only these people and God knows this) my advice and warning should be heeded. |
| CowgirlK User ID: 28104451 11/23/2012 12:13 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OMG! I hate Black Friday! I will be shopping in my little town, probably tomorrow. We got hit hard by the storm and I want to support my local merchants. We have some great antique and vintage type stores where I will do most of my (rather meager), shopping. It will be fun, I can walk to the stores, and best of all no raging maniacs trying to save a few bucks! Quoting: INK3 BRAVO! I commend your efforts in supporting your hometown retailers! This entire Black Friday thing makes me sick to my stomach! I’m saddened to see that our society has become so materialistic that people will resort to pushing and fighting to buy junk made in foreign countries with credit cards that they will never be able to pay. If you are shopping on Black Friday, Did you purchase anything made in the USA with CASH? I doubt that many people can say yes to both. There is NOTHING that I want or need badly enough to subject myself to the madness that retailers have created in an attempt to add black numbers to their bottom line. If you think you got a great deal today, wait until after Christmas and watch what happens, shopping will come to a halt as many retailers will close their doors. Stores will be basically giving items away in order to clear their shop floors and hand the keys over to the bank. People have clearly lost sight of what the season is really about….family, friends, and… Oh yea, the birth of Christ. Shop on my friends if it makes you happy, but I will be at home eating leftovers and making Christmas gifts for the people I love. |

The fact that despite crazy stuff like this every year on black friday;morons still refuse to acknowledge that this could happen all the time when SHTF. Why the fuck are so many females so loud, out of control, obnoxious? Some can call me sexist all they want, but whenever theres a lot of drama, fighting, it 99% of the time involves females directly, or if it's guys, it's over a female or instigated by a female. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28302178 I notice even small things on a daily basis. Little things like people being rude, loud and obnoxious in public, being deliberately passive aggressive, talking a lot of smack, are almost always girls or women. It's like many have the attitude they can behave like a bitch and nothing will happen because they're a girl [or women], and a dude wouldn't dare get physical. If a dude behaves this way with another dude, you end up with a physical fight and violence, but most chicks seem to think they can bait and instigate all they want with no consequences beyond drama and words. I'm serious, this isn't a troll post. Because nowadays women aren't ladies - they're animals. |
